Custom Uniform Quality Control

Every custom uniform undergoes rigorous quality inspections from incoming materials to final shipment. Our experienced QC team monitors each production stage to ensure consistent quality, accurate sizing, and reliable craftsmanship for every order.

At OH Uniform, we understand that consistent quality is essential for every custom uniform order. Our quality control system covers the entire manufacturing process, from raw material inspection and production monitoring to final inspection and shipment verification.

With a dedicated QC team and standardized inspection procedures, we carefully monitor each production stage to ensure uniforms meet approved specifications, customer requirements, and quality expectations.

Step 1

Incoming Material Inspection

Quality control begins before production starts. At OH Uniform’s custom workwear factory, our QC team carefully inspects all incoming materials to ensure they meet our quality requirements before entering the manufacturing process. The inspection covers:

  • Fabric composition and color consistency: verifying material specifications and ensuring consistent color across production batches.
  • Fabric defects and appearance: checking for stains, weaving defects, holes, and other visual imperfections.
  • Fabric width and weight: confirming fabric specifications meet the approved requirements.
  • Color fastness: testing resistance to fading, rubbing, and washing.
  • Accessories inspection: checking zippers, buttons, labels, and other trims for quality and consistency.

Step 2

Pre-Production Sample Approval

Before starting bulk production, we create and review a pre-production uniform sample (PP sample) to ensure all details meet the approved requirements. Our QC Team will check:

  • Uniform Design and Specifications: check that the style, material, and colors match the approved design.
  • Size Measurements: Check length, bust, waist, sleeve length, and other dimensions to ensure they meet the required tolerance range.
  • Sewing Workmanship: Inspect stitching quality, seam construction, stitch density, and overall craftsmanship.
  • Logo Embroidery or Printing: Confirm the logo position, size, and appearance meet customer requirements.
  • Accessories and finishing details: Check buttons, zippers, labels, and other decorative items.

Bulk production only begins after the pre-production sample is approved, ensuring every uniform produced follows the confirmed design, specifications, and quality standards.

Step 3

Cutting Quality Control

Accurate cutting is essential for maintaining consistent sizing and ensuring proper garment construction. During the cutting process, our QC team monitors:

  • Marker Layout Accuracy: Ensure fabric patterns are correctly positioned according to the approved design and size requirements.
  • Fabric Cutting Precision: Check that fabric panels are accurately cut according to specifications.
  • Panel Matching: Verify that all cut panels are correctly matched before sewing.
  • Size Identification and Sorting: Ensure cut pieces are properly labeled and sorted by size.

In-Process Quality Control

Quality control continues throughout the production process. Our QC team monitors production lines to ensure every uniform is manufactured according to approved samples, specifications, and customer requirements.

Our in-process inspection includes:

  • First Piece Approval: Verifying the first completed uniform before bulk production continues.
  • Inline Sampling Inspection: Conducting regular spot checks during sewing to monitor production consistency and identify potential issues early.
  • Measurement & Workmanship Control: Checking uniform measurements, sewing quality, and construction details against approved standards.
  • Defect Identification & Correction: Recording quality issues, coordinating corrections, and preventing repeated defects during production.

By monitoring quality throughout production, we help ensure consistent workmanship and reduce defects before final inspection.

Step 5

Final Inspection & AQL Sampling

Before shipment, our QC team performs a final inspection to verify that finished uniforms meet the approved samples, specifications, and customer requirements. The final inspection includes:

  • Appearance Inspection: Checking overall garment condition, workmanship, stains, loose threads, and finishing details.
  • Measurement Verification: Checking key measurements according to the approved size chart.
  • Workmanship Inspection: Inspecting sewing quality and identifying any defects before shipment.
  • Packaging Inspection: Verifying labels, packing methods, carton information, and other packaging requirements.

Final inspections are conducted according to AQL sampling standards to ensure consistent quality and minimize risks before delivery.

Packing & Shipment Verification

Before shipment, our QC team verifies that finished uniforms are correctly packed according to customer requirements. The verification includes:

  • Style and Quantity: Confirm the correct styles, quantities, and size ratio.
  • Packing Details: Check folding methods, labels, and carton marks.
  • Shipping Documents: Verify all shipment information is accurate.

This ensures every order is correctly prepared and delivered to customers.
